Sorry for this blatant plug for my new business, but since I am finally returning to the roots of my Antioch Visual Arts studies, I hope you won't mind :)

After spending years wasting away in software QA land, I just launched a glass carving and etching business focussing on my original and custom designs on glasses, vases, and (coming soon) custom glass game boards!

www.woodeye.com

So if you ever need anything custom made, or like my work... please let me know, and please tell others. I really want to make an honest living at this work and avoid returning to the craptastic software industry ;)

The site just went live a couple days ago, and I still have many, many new finished glass photos to load up there tonight and tomorrow, so please forgive me for some of the template images up there at the moment.

I am also adding a special coupon code for all Antiochians to use, just enter "ANTIOCH" as the code, and you will get 30% off any order. Again I am sorry for this spamish type message, but I hope you will still check out my site and let me know if I can ever carve some custom glass for you :)

  • Nice work, Jeff! I actually recognize some of the work on the Woodeye Cafe from our Antioch years.

I think it's funny that on December 1st we both returned to our roots. You relaunched Woodeye and I started Tom King Architectural Design and Consulting, specializing in sustainability and innovative urban design. See, we Antiochians can actually acheive our idealistic goals, with a little persistance and patience.

I'll be out in Tuscon, AZ visiting my girlfriend's family between Dec. 22-27. If you're around and not too busy, I'd love a tour of the studio. I'm certain my girlfriend would flip over your work, as she's a big fan of decorative glassware.

Anyway, congrats! Hope we can get together and catch up.

    -Tom
